Voluntary self-regulation at the GCHN!

Geocaching is very simple: get coordinates, search, log (if necessary swap), put them back and finally log online.
This ingeniously simple idea has endured to this day and nothing should change about it! But since the number of geocachers is constantly growing, a guideline is essential so that we can all continue to enjoy this hobby for a long time!  Luckily we have "Ulf78" as an expert for all questions about the official "Groundspeak guidelines" ( link to the German translation ) who brings them closer to us.

Here are seven simple principles (taken from " Geocachers' Creed ").  There is an example for each of these principles and below (with a click on the arrow button) many helpful tips for further reading in theDOs & DONTs ).  When reading these "rules", most people will think what a waste of time dealing with such self-evident facts that every civilized person intuitively takes to heart. But there are simply situations in which common sense is sometimes switched off! 
It is nice if we can then remember the following self-evident principles:

1. I pay attention to my safety and that of the other players.
Example: I know my limits and don't salvage every cache no matter what:  Do I really have to climb that slippery tree in the rain?!
